All the dianthus in our garden are from seeds that we sow ourselves. We use them in our garden mostly as filler plants at present. Some dianthus self-sow wildly and may require some effort to control. Also the colour of interest may gradually disappear. However, some are reasonably well behave, and readily keep their colours in successive sowing. I would like to find proper permanent homes for these eventually, as long as they are not hot pink colour that I dislike.
In my haste to plant my dianthus out as fillers, I have lost the identities of many of them.
This is one of our favourites. It self-sow easily without being invasive. With a colour like this, what more could you want.
This is another of our favourites. It does not appear to self sow wildly (yet).....
Only two thing are infinite; the universe and human stupidity, and I am not sure of the former.
